Florida Waterways

In a cross-curricular unit between English and social studies, students studied Florida waterways and the importance of water in Florida. They researched and wrote about different topics of interest related to water. We then teamed up with the Rosenteil School of Marine and Atmospheric Science from the University of Miami to study water pollution and the effect that water currents have on where it ends up. The students were fortunate enough to participate in a drop and were able to track the currents online and see where our experiment cards landed.
